Pineapple Nastar Roll 风梨卷

Pineapple tart is a much do for Chinese New Year goodies. It means you will be prosperous for whole year.

Ingredients:-
250 g butters, cut into little squares

400 grams flour made of as follows:
300 g Plain flour
50 g cornflour (can replace by plain flour)
30 g custard powder
20 g milk powder

2 tbsp of caster sugar
1/2 tsp of salt (Added only when you use unsalted butter)
2 egg yolks
Vanilla essence

Method:- 
1. Mix the flour, sugar and salt. Add in buter and work with your fingertips to rub them into breadcrumbs like.

2. Add egg yolks to bind. If two yolks cannot bind them into a smooth dough, add one more yolk.

3. If the dough is too soft, add a little more wheat flour.

4. Put the dough into nastar piping tip, press out into a strip of 5cm.

5. Place pineapple filing and roll up the pastry. Cut off the excess pastry.

6. Put the rolls on the baking tray. Brush with egg wash.

7. Bake at 180 ° for 15mins or until golden brown.
